Installation of Rapid Set Polyurea Joint and Crack Sealant
London’s Heathrow Airport had a need for a traffic coating which would provide a durable, non-slip surface for vehicle parking decks, while offering fast traffic access after application. Our rapid-curing polyurea coating system was selected. Joints and cracks were sealed with our rapid-setting polyurea joint and crack sealant. To ensure optimum adhesion with the concrete substrate, our 100% solids heavy duty epoxy was applied as the primer. Then, our rapid-setting polyurea was spray applied and broadcast with aggregate to provide a safe, non-slip surface. Our aliphatic polyurea was applied as a seal coat to provide a 100% UV stable (colorfast) system.
These coatings may either be spray applied with low pressure spray equipment, or with a roller. Our polyurea is a tough, low maintenance coating, designed to provide superior long-term performance under rigorous service conditions. It is UV stable (colorfast), suitable for interior and exterior applications, and provides anti-graffiti protection.
Our coatings prolong the service life of infrastructure and provide an excellent barrier from aggressive chemicals and acids. Aggregate may be broadcast into the coatings to provide a textured, non-slip surface for an extra measure of safety.
Ecolink’s coatings contain no VOC’s and are no/low odor. They meet USDA/FDA/CFIA requirements for incidental food contact and for use in regulated food facilities.
