Polyurea Coating Spray-Applied Over a Welded Pipe Joint
Our corrosion resistant coating system was selected to protect steel pipe for the Kazakhstan Gas Pipeline. A tough corrosion resistant coating was required to protect against chemical attack and provide flexibility to withstand movement of subsoil in severe freeze-thaw conditions.
The pipe surfaces were first cleaned by sandblasting and our corrosion resistant epoxy primer with zinc additive was applied to ensure optimum adhesion of the coating. Next, our rapid-setting polyrea coating was applied with a plural component spray machine.
Our coatings prolong the service life of infrastructure and provide an excellent barrier from aggressive chemicals and acids. Our polyurea is a tough, low maintenance coating, designed to provide superior long-term performance under rigorous service conditions.
Our coatings can either be applied with spray equipment or with a roller. Aggregate may be broadcast into the coatings to provide a textured, non-slip surface for an extra measure of safety.
Ecolink’s coatings contain no VOC’s and are no/low odor. They meet USDA/FDA/CFIA requirements for incidental food contact and for use in regulated food facilities.
